About

Alec Baldwin is a veteran American actor and producer best known for his comedic portrayals on '30 Rock' and 'Saturday Night Live,' as well as major film roles across four decades. On October 21, 2021, while serving as both star and producer of the low-budget Western 'Rust' on a set near Santa Fe, New Mexico, he fired a gun during a rehearsal that discharged a live round, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounding director Joel Souza. Baldwin maintained he did not pull the trigger and that he was following a crew member's instruction, while armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed and assistant director Dave Halls were separately charged. The case against Baldwin was dismissed with prejudice in July 2024 after the judge found prosecutors withheld evidence.
